    Anyone else notice in the announcement the casual mention that the price tag is now $1.2 trillion?..

    What happened to the pleadge of $800 billion?..

      I think there’s going to be a major cleansing of elected officials next year and in 2012. Too many people are too angry about the attempted takeover.

    I think Erinyes’ quote hits the nail on the head. This healthcare takeover will insure that we have NO economic recovery, which IMHO could very well mean the collapse of our damaged and fragile economy, and subsequently the collapse of our government.

    What would that mean for a sworn Marxist like Obama? A chance to rid the world of that “imperfect document” – the US Constitution – and take the glorious helm in rewriting a new government. He would certainly be calling on the United Nations for assistance to remake a “kinder, more neighborly member” of the New World Order.

      Another conspiracy theory, unrelated to the screwed economy:

      The muslim terrorist Hasan was a member of the Dar al-Hijrah mosque under the leadership of radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki. Two of the 9/11 terrorists attended this mosque. He was reported ‘devout’ and though born here called himself a Palestinian. Though he had asked to be deployed to Afghanistan, did not want to go to Iraq. If that was his sole motivation, he could have simply resigned his commission. Supported the call to Jihad, posted pro-terrorist bullshit on the internet. Said infidels should have their throats cut. Shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ before attack. Was on Homeland Security advisory task force aimed at Obama transition team. Knew he would do this; planned it, even giving away his possessions the morning he carried through with the plan.

    Please vote against this health-care monstrosity when it comes to the Senate. The passage of this bill would wreak economic catastrophe upon an economy already strained by the pitfalls of the various so-called stimuli. It will only weaken our country, weaken the American people, and hand over power to a liberal-led government that does not care what happens as long as it has ‘control’ over the people. Passage of this bill would vastly take away from a government ‘of the people, by the people, and [sic] for the people’. Our freedoms will be greatly imperiled; indeed, in danger of perishing from this earth.

        But in my ‘public’ persona, I don’t cuss. People frown on teachers doing that for some strange reason, lol!

    The difference is that war was declared on us by Japan, and subsequently by us on Japan and her allies as a result of Pearl Harb or.

    We have not declared war on anyone, officially, as far as I know, and our pussified government insists on downplaying the Islamic role in terrorism.
