Politics

obeyobamaAn extreme amount of time and energy is being exerted by the current administration to marginalize Fox News. The President, who obviously cannot tolerate being criticized, has even gone so far as to meet privately with commentators from the networks that always agree with him in order to trash talk Fox!

Doesn’t he have BETTER things to do??

Speaking privately at the White House on Monday with a group of mostly liberal columnists and commentators, including Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC and Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and Bob Herbert of The New York Times, Mr. Obama himself gave vent to sentiments about the network, according to people briefed on the conversation.

EDIT: The White House tried to ban Fox News from the press pool!

What a puss. That’s the first time I’ve ever heard a president complain about his negative publicity. O-Hole should’ve known it was part of the job description. If he can’t handle it, he never should’ve become president in the first place. :hide:

I agree! Can you imagine if Bush had tried this crap? He was a man; a grownup. He simply withstood it and kept doing his job.

      This is unreal.

Well he has the class, maturity, and professionalism of a middle school rich brat girl- so no real surprises here.
All the media types he meets with privately to bash FOX et al better make sure they never have the balls to disagree with him or they will find themselves on his enemies list too.
I have been amazed from the beginning that the media, which exists ONLY because of the first amendment, would be so in the tank for an ideology that invariably leads to censorship and a complete quashing of freedom of expression.

Heh Heh… he’s always struck me so.

I know what you mean about the media… it’s mind-blowing!

This is why I can’t watch tv…it gives me too much stress, especially about the STUPIDITY of not only the MSM and the Pres, but also the STUPIDITY of those who don’t even try to question it!!! Blind leading the blind.

Way back when I was in the Service when someone really screwed the pooch he’s be told “you just stepped all over your dick”. And, I suspect Obama stepped on his while wearing golf shoes. Before this it was just the talkers, the commentators like Beck and Hannity deep in the fight, while the regular news people just reported.

Now, though, Obama is going after the livelihoods of the whole outfit. Imagine a platoon of Reporters each hitting Columbia and Harvard Law School, another platoon hitting Hawaii, and a reinforced company of them hitting Chicago. Each armed with a pocket full of walking around money and, say, the local addresses of folks who subscribe to The Limbaugh Letter and Hannity and Beck’s websites. Think there aren’t conservatives there who know people who have a good idea where the bodies are buried?

Obama has really skidded face first through a couple of fresh cow patties and the effing idiot did it to himself. Funny thing is, even the other “news” outlets have to back Fox, they know that if Obama gets away with this on Fox, they’re next. And they said this effing big eared numbnutted idiot was smart.

Anyone ever hear George W. Bush or Ronald Reagan crying tears the size of horse turds over bad press?

Not once. And they were skewered repeatedly every single day. Actually, Dubya would smile and thank God we live in a free country.

    This made me smile. :D
