Every once in a while, a person needs to dig their toes into sand and wiggle them around really good… and today, doing the Flat Stanley 500, we got a chance to do just that in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It was time.
The scavenger hunt that masquerades as a Flat Stanley adventure took us to a beach, of course… this *is* Florida, after all… and though I had the Fort Lauderdale beach in mind, hubby said that Hollywood was best but Pompano was closer… and basically the choice was made wherever we found good parking. It’s ALL beach and it’s ALL good.
These are Blackberry captures. Not too shabby, eh? I’ll post Flat Stan’s stuff after I send him back to Colorado Tuesday.

That is the *girl who hates having her picture taken; how nice of you to notice! Especially in a wind, when her hair looks like muppet vomit. Luckily her husband is very good with the assurances… so here it is, with reservations.

*Can I legitimately call her at girl at 52? Age is just a state of mind, after all…. And isn’t it a little telling that I must disengage with myself just to be able to post a farking picture? I’m not a troll or anything… …and I’m told my breasts are very nice… Sigh.

BTW Addie has the pig flu and has been one sick little unit for the last couple but we’re on the downhill side now. If Bonna and I can keep from getting it…..

I hope Addie feels better… maybe seeing Stan and all his paraphernalia will help… today is his last adventure; riding in Bree’s backpack to the park. LOL!
There was so much I wanted to do with him… but that would have taken about 3 more months…!

We love Flat Stanley! My 2nd son did that in 3rd grade and sent him to my Mom and Dad’s. Stanley was a busy guy. He was with my Dad when he painted their bedroom, Dad took him shooting (almost put a bullet in him for good measure, but thought better of it, but we have pix of Stanley with the targets), he went to a Mardi Gras parade, and he went with my Mom and Dad on their annual Valentine’s Day breakfast to the Waffle House. (My folks live on the edge…) It was awesome!! I’m so glad you took him to the beach!!!

I should have taken him to the range! That’s the problem; there are just too many great things to do here… today he goes for a ride in Bree’s backpack then it’s an overnight flight back to Colorado!

I posted a picture on my facebook account from our wedding and my co-workers thought it was from “at least 20 years” ago – it was less than 10. Compared to you, evidently my aging process is accelerating exponentially.
Oh, and I like the racing stripes on your feet, too!
I have freakish white “sungloves” on my hands – from my motorcycle gloves – with a Harley-shield shaped tanned emblem in the centers of the backs of my hands. People stare.
