This, that and the other

One good thing about losing my archives… I can reuse titles with impunity!

It was 54° this morning! Cool weather finally came to south Florida in the form of an arctic front… And my windows wouldn’t open because Mr. C. either painted or caulked over them. Finally got two open, but he’s going to pry the rest loose, just in case one breaks.

I’m shredding everything in the filing cabinet. Why keep financial records, anyway? They only depress me.

Contemplating the oncoming big dog. Only lasted a second, but what a cute expression…
Here comes trouble

*****

Flat Stanley reached his destination one day late, which means UPS and I will tangle this week. If I’d wanted three day shipping the little sucker could have gone Priority USPS for ten bucks. UPS Two Day Air ain’t cheap and I used it for a reason.

I never knew what ‘ticky tacky’ meant until I started watching Weeds on Netflix. Little Boxes is a hell of an earworm.

*****

Proof positive that my husband doesn’t listen to me: His friend called with an invitation to fly up to central Florida this morning and he jumped at the chance.
I said: “…but it’s windy” and in his excitement he agreed. Turns out clouds and wind gusts are fun!
My only argument was a weak one to be sure, but I repeated it as he gleefully prepared to leave. Guess who was still shouting ‘WINDY!’ as his truck sped away to certain death. Or at least mutilation.

Sometimes I can stop myself from thinking like that, but it’s difficult.

I heart Pandora so very, very much. My favorite channels are String Quartet [playing as I write this: Brahms String Quartet in G major, Op. 111: Un Poco Allegretto], Chamber, Baroque and Violin Features.
Blip is great for choosing individual songs, but I don’t want to work that hard. LOL!

Facebook is sucking the life out of me; I think I need an exorcism to get shed of it. By the way, if you want any extra Mafia, I’m your woman. Or crew in Yoville. Or neighbors in Farm Town, Farmville and Lil’ Farm Life. And I could always use help in Castle Age or a new friend for my Superpoke virtual pet.

See what I mean? And that’s just the beginning…!

Anybody got any holy water? I could sprinkle some on my monitor and see if that helps… in the meantime, I’ll be looking for new Hatchling eggs…

54! We have a frost warning for tomorrow morning.
On a lighter note – Rode Rosie tonight, not one off step did she take. A good day.

Farmville is a time-warp. I swear I’m only a few minutes…but the clock says hours have passed.

And it’s in the 40s here at night! In October! That never happens here until about January. I want my global warming back!

Friend me and we’ll be neighbors! pamibe at gmail dot com

      :D

I love the cold snap but my feet are too used to flip flops. LOL

winds were not that bad – we got up to 82 (mostly 75-77) knots going and 130 (mostly 120-122) coming back – normally 102 to 108 is great – and yes the winds are fun with gusts to 25 knots and more – had to use full rudder to stop in Sebring because the correct runway was close for maintenance – I got to fly back so it was fun.

54 degrees???? Shit, were estactic that it is going UPTO 54 degrees today. Were suppose to hit 60 degrees by Wednesday, I am sure the windows might even be opened.

We have skipped Fall this year and gone right to early winter. It’s been getting into the high 20′s at night.

It killed me but we had to (and I mean had to) turn the furance on Oct 3rd this year. I have near in all my life had a furance turned on so early in the year and snow flakes were visable last week already. First visable snowflakes usually don’t happen to early Nov.

    This sucks so bad.

As to the Facebook addiction, “If you don’t get help at Charter…” (’nuff said).

And I’m with you, I Heart Pandora. Hubby hooked me on to it and when Satellite isn’t too exciting, I go to my Pandora station. I have a Seals & Croft channel (yep, I love the 70′s ballads & music) and have some wild stations too. Good fun!

    ;)

I use Slacker instead of Pandora. Have given serious thought to buying a slacker device next time it comes up on Woot.com. I’m getting sick of the local stations and my cds again.

Farmville and Mafia Wars? Totally addicted. I blame my co-workers, including my BOSS – who got me started by essentially PAYING me to play Farmville (“sign up so you can send me cows!”) on company time. And it’s because of them that Mrs. Who got her farm. (I pleaded like a little junky, “Honey, can I use your account to start a farm so you can be my neighbor?” Her reply, “Whatever. I don’t have time for that stuff.”) Now she’s addicted too.

Given that there is no chemical/physical element to Facebook addiction, I’m convinced… That shit’s worse than crack.

I’m thinking there’s alien technology involved. :tinfoil:

ohhh… I have a second facebook that I let my sons play farmtown and farmville on… I’ll see if I can find you and send you an invite to be their friend. I am very particularly when they play… I have to be able to be sitting by them and watching them. But they love the game too. Just don’t get to play often. Let me know!

  9. GaMongrel

Lol, yeah… Facebook monopolizes my down time too… Damn bejeweled blitz has me tied up more often than not… I have to thank, or curse?, my wife for finally dragging me into facebook. It’s been real nice to have a lowkey and easy way to keep up with friends old and new.

And yes, I love Pandora, everything from old crooners, to 80′s to country and current stuff… I often have it on when working at home or doing my chores…

  10. GaMongrel

and yes, it’s (facebook) where I go too when I’m tired of catching up on the politics/wars and blogs. I have little stomach for regular TV in general.

  11. GaMongrel

sorry for the monologueing – proof of my current FB addiction:
just started playing Farmivlle last week – and I’m now a Lvl21 farmer… Bewjeweled Blitz now has my high score as 150k plus after my first week… I’m third amongst my friends for now… eek.. back to work!

    1) Daisy? Adorable, as usual

    2) definitely wrangle over the shipping. You paid for a service and you should receive that service. If not, refund!

    3) Weeds was good until this past season, which sucked. I didn’t even bother with the last episode.

    4) I avoid FB as much as possible because nothing really happens there except the time suck. I’ve learned to hit that little x in the top right corner of my screen. Life is soooo much better since I did that.

  13. Da Goddess

But Pam, you HAVE an intervention. Two of them. One is leggy and a beautiful burnt orange and the other is long and has cute wiggly hairs on the top of her head.
