Love the sun radiating through leaves… and believe it or not, this is the effect I was trying to capture. How something so simple can be so wondrous…

I call this one: “No, really. Some of it is in focus.”

I think your “No Really…” shot is one of the best here.
I love selective depth of field shots, and the emphasis on the one water droplet makes it seem somehow powerful and mysterious. Looking at it, I have the overwhelming feeling that it’s about to do something in kind of a John Carpenter sense. It creates real tension. Awesome!
I have some great camera equipment – some of the best that (my limited) money can buy. One feature that Nikon nor any camera manufacturer has been able to include, however, is an eye like yours for creating great shots. Seriously – I’ve been looking everywhere for a “Talent” setting…

Thank you so much, Bitterroot. I’m… humbled.

With your second shot, you’ve achieved perfect bokeh (go on, Google it…I’ll wait here). See? You nailed it!
Mother Nature is pretty damn amazing, isn’t it?

Oh, honey… I read the Pioneer Woman’s Photog blog… I didn’t need to google bokeh!
It’s my first, too!
