Obama feels compelled to apologize for America no matter where he is or what the situation. I find this behavior very offensive.
Chicago lost the Olympic bid because of his arrogance.
Don Surber posted the translation from the Danish website Berlingske:
“The fact that Barack Obama came, could not do it. I think he lacked emotion, it seemed too empty and business-like. When Tony Blair promoted London he was around three days to lobby and talk to people. You can not just come with the train one day and try to affect everything. People have felt that it was a lack of respect for the Olympics and sport in general. I think people felt it was too business-like to get into the way we have now seen it many times, and you would have feelings back.”
Hans Bonde, professor of sport history at the University of Copenhagen, told the newspaper: “Here come the media favorite Obama just before the deadline and made showoff. He clearly won the battle in the media, but it turned out indeed to be indifferent. IOC members did not feel important, and they were indeed reduced to spectators and not players.”
It took the former Danish IOC member Kai Holm less than one round of counting to determine that Chicago was the victim of his own disrespect.
Arrogance, hubris… the aura of superiority that surrounds the man and helped him gain the highest office in the land… will help defeat him in the end.

You know you’ve sunk to a new low when the president of France effectively calls you an incompetent jackass on the world stage. And he’s right.

Hey, he called it how he [and I] saw it…

I have to make an admission. I smiled with delight at the front page of MSN on Friday when it shared that Chicago lost the bid. I tee-hee’d when MSNBC’s front page questioned if Obama’s lurve for all things TV and media were not beginning to lower his media savvy but also (*gasp!*) his perception at getting the job done.
Another admission…I giggled like a schoolgirl this morning when the Today show led off with Chicago losing the Olympic bid, early in the first round. They showed the clip from SNL giving it to Obama right between the eyes. (“It’s been 12 months in office and what have I got to show for it? Nothing!”)
Then to add insult to injury, stated that his arrogancy in trying to win the Olympic bid and failing could actually hurt his profile and his reputation!
Bwahahaha, stop it, I’m going to pee my pants!
(Pam – you’ve GOT to put that video on the page…it’s a MUST!)

I haven’t seen the vid, Lee Ann!
I’ve been laughing like a frickin’ hyena since it was announced that Rio won…!!!!

It warmed my cold little heart when he lost the Chicago bid. I don’t know if Europe realizes yet what an empty suited arrogant rock star we have as President, but if they do, they don’t care. He is our problem, not theirs.

Oh, I think they know…

He’s smooth. Smooth like diarrhea.

I screamed (was in the car taking the boy to church – when it was announced) Bot complained I’d damaged his ears the rest of the day.
But I totally disagree that he has accomplished nothing so far. He has already tied the hands of our kids for years to come. He has taken over the school loan market, he has taken over the banking system, he has taken over much of the US auto market. Are these things “good things”? Noooo, but they are things he has done. He has, in what 9 months or so, made one freaken big mess.
gotta go feed the ponies now…

Oh, yes. I agree. Just hope it won’t take long to ‘undo’ what he’s done…
October 6th, 2009 at 9:58 am
If he gets his foot in the door with health care, we’ll never be able to undo the mess. This week is important folks. If you have ever called your reps. on this one, do it again this week. Seriously, they must know we don’t think we have it won so we’ve turned our backs. They’ll stab us for sure if we let them.
Probably will anyway…

I’d like to think we could, but even I’m not that naive. Rat Bastard!

the closest we have ever come to “undoing” a social program was welfare reform. and they have already undone or are undoing our undoing of that one. once people who like to be given things are given, you can not politically unpry their claws.
well, you could, i could, but politicos will not

I understand. May not like it, but I do understand…
