The plant that Bree is close to here? It’s hiding something. Something ugly.

This:

I had to take a picture to get a really good look and now believe that it’s got to be some sort of cocoon. The thing’s as big as a fist… so I’m thinking I need to destroy it, right?
Just ewwww….
…and the plumeria might be doomed. The flowers are pretty, what there are of them… and the foliage is nice and green… in the summer… but what happens to it in September and October oughta be illegal! It’s not a beautiful oak or elm, shedding its glorious leaves… it’s FUGLY. I don’t know if I can put up with this; I’ve already got enough ugly around here; sure don’t need to be cultivating it on purpose…

Hmm, wonder what that is…curious stuff there, Pam.

I’ll have to take it off… but there’s going to be a lot of stuff between it and me. Trust me on that.

You say it’s hiding something ugly and there is sweet little Daisy in the background behind the bush/plant thing.
Your a mean momma

I thought about that after I hit ‘publish’ and then thought… ah, nobody will notice. Ha!

No, we saw Daisy. Can’t hide her!
About that “thing” though…what if it’s a bunch of good bugs? I’d leave it just this once to see what it spawns.

I wish I had one of those time-lapse camera doohickeys so I could see them emerging like little aliens…

That plant and the thing growing in it is easy to get rid of. Take a can of gasoline, pour it on and around it, then move away leaving a thin trail of gas. Then take a match…Eh, let your husband do it, guys love them some fire.

…but I don’t want to get rid of the plant…!
