Driving while phoning? Driving while full of that shit? who knows. The world would be better off without this person, that’s all I know.
The neighbor we used to have that lost his home, family and German Shepherd to Cocaine ran over our Pirate puppy. It was all I could do to not run a .357 slug through his ass.
Oh well, we ended up taking Rex the German Shepherd to our oldest boy in Phoenix. He lived his last five, almost six years in comfort. Rex used to sneak in our door when we were calling our dogs, then he’s lie down in a corner, lay his ears back and think invisible thoughts so we wouldn’t throw him out to have his ears and tail pulled by the coke freak’s kids.
You have never seen a funnier thing that Rex, half the size of Baltimore, trying to be invisible. Rex was a Good Boy.
I don’t know how you kept your sanity. Knowing who ran over your dog… Oh, my. Retribution may be the good Lord’s province, but the pull for justice is a powerful one…
I keep an eye on our neighbors dogs, a 3 year old black shepard mix (whose never been on a walk or out of the fenced yard) and the female shepard puppy (I named her Love, taught her to sit for a cookie and to lay down for a cookie). Made them mow their back yard, made my husband treat their yard for the ticks they were infested with. Talked a friend into sending an Animal officer to check on their well-being and fighting very hard not to steal them both (because I wouldn’t leave the big guy alone again with no one to play with). And as soon as I can find someone who will take both dogs and give the love and supreme being treatment that they deserve, I’ll kidnap under cover of darkness and relocate them to a new home. I’ve made sure I can get into their yard and they come to me without fear.
I know…just because they don’t treat their dogs the way I do doesn’t make it wrong…but it doesn’t make it acceptable either. Oh and Love is SUCH a beautiful girl! Her puppy ears and starting to do their standing up tricks, so we’ll see how her ears will turn out. She’s such a sweet, smart puppy girl. I’m going to have to put them in our yard for playtime with the girls. She’s ITCHING to play!
And to the asshat who killed the ducks…karma’s a bitch and she keeps score. All I’m saying.
You have a good soul, Lee Ann. And if the dogs are being neglected, they’re being neglected. It’s NOT okay to simply put dogs in a back yard and throw food out to them every day. Dogs are pack animals and need to be with the rest of their pack… it’s not the outside thing that would irritate me, because some dogs prefer to live out of doors… but the cruelness of keeping them apart from the humans… and one is a puppy??? Oh, dear. That would kill me.
Karma is indeed a bitch, but you’ve got some good stuff coming for your care of those babies.
No, they have a house and they go inside. They’re able to go in and out as they please/need (from what I can tell). But I’m not sure of the housebreaking status and as long as the ticks are being managed and addressed, I have to let it go for now.
But like I said, as soon as I can find someone to take both puppies I’ll gladly relocate them. It just wouldn’t be fair to put the Big Guy by himself again. He at least has a playmate and Love definitely gives him the what for. They’re good dogs, I just think they need better ownership with someone who will give them time, attention and love. But what happens inside the house I can’t speak to. It’s just not to my standard, that’s what I’m saying.
Well, the tick infestation alone would freak me out. Ticks and fleas; can’t tolerate ‘em.
We’ve been free of both for many years, but I know if we move out to the country it would be an ongoing battle for dominance… especially in some places. My SIL in Houston -because of the pines- has a tick issue.. it’s really gross. She’s tried EVERYthing, including, of course, professionals… but certain times of the year they swarm… everywhere. I become nauseated just thinking about it…
Oh yeah…they creep/gross me out BIG TIME. I called the vet’s office for what to do and they recommended Bayer’s product. Sold at Home Depot & Wal-Mart for about $25. It’s a liquid in a blue bottle and says termite protection, but the tech uses it inside AND outside. It kills everything but the little lizard dudes (love them), including ticks, fire ants and other gross Florida “critters”. Once we started using it, they just went away. (And it really lasts! 2 T per gallon of water, so really concentrated. Sweet!)
We also bathed the girls once a month with the Hartz flea/tick shampoo (picked up at Wal-Mart) and then Revolution has a tick collar that works together with their product, so between all three, we got rid of the problem *touch fake wood desktop*.
I remember Tamitha Freemen. Harvey says: “She’s got beautiful puppies”.
"Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them and their families in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us."

And Rex? You’re a good man, Peter.
