Stuff

I’m just all over the place this week… and it’s Thursday already!

Cleveland and I went to Acrylux for paint Tuesday and he’s started rolling the walls today. After months of diddling around, it’s like a damned miracle. He’s still turning up most mornings with bags of St. Augustine runners that have been collected during his walks. What he chooses to do with his down time is none of my business and if poking more ‘babies’ into my dirt is what makes him happy, that’s fine with me.

I’d started to doubt my selection of white paint. Honestly, a nice light taupe with white accents would look much better and be more ‘me’. But the argument that white is cool still holds water.. and, after all, this is south Florida. Once he started rolling over the primer the white just looked really fresh, so, white roof and white walls. What a switch from the previous dark colors! I’ll have to post a before and after at the finish line.

Best part? He’s been paid. Ka-ching!

The new Project Valour-IT fundraiser begins October 26th and continues to Veteran’s Day, so save your pennies! I’ll be on the Navy team again, of course.

If you just can’t wait and want to donate to a very worthy cause now, WB at Pereiraville is running the Disney marathon to help end Leukemia and Lymphoma again in 2010 and her goal has not been met as of yet!

Hubby is home; came in late last night, bearing gifts. I was eating Pappasito’s at midnight and it’s crazy, but no heartburn! My body loves that stuff!

He was supposed to meet up with Joanie while in town, but when you give a man one day to do three days worth of work… yeah. Like that. We were disappointed. One of these days, Joanie. One of these days…

Anyway, love having the man back in the bosom of his family. Daisy even seemed happy to see him, which I count as the 2nd miracle of the week…

…and because I miss her dreadfully…

Running back to Home Depot for another outside light fixture and I must mow today. O.D. is visiting this weekend and we want her to be able to find the door, right? >;-)

ooo -oooo you could paint the trim and door brilliant blue or green and pretend you live on a Greek Island…. sneaking back into my hole :D

We have white walls, black roof, and black doors/shutters. I desperately want to paint the front door red and the back door turquoise. So I love the deep red door idea with the white!

I first got the idea when the people at the end of our street painted theirs red. Their house is white also, with a dab of black trim. It’s gorgeous!

      Yes, I’m a copycat! :D

I was going to say a nice rich red front door would look SO sharp…great minds I guess.

Love the picture of your girl. She was such a beauty.

We’ve thought about “accidentally” having our place painted (as we’re renters and the color is HORRIBLE), but not worth it yet. At least the interior is FANTASTIC!

The only times I see that much love in a dog’s eyes is when Ming the Merciless looks at Linda Lou or Cochise’ Apache Princess looks at me. Bingo is still a little suspicious.

That’s part of what I miss… that look. And the spirit of a little dog that knew my every thought, every move before I did.

Bingo is still a little suspicious.

Bree is very much her own person and Daisy, though better, looks at everyone as though they’re on a mission to hurt her in some way. Even me at times.

Glad Artie’s home and yes, one of these days. No worries! He had lots of stuff to get done. The good news is that we got to talk and even better…Daisy’s reaction when he came home!

Cleveland cracks me up. You do, too. You’re gong to have the nicest house on the block, girlfriend.

With any luck, I’ll be seeing my dog again for good in a couple of weeks…
