When leftists complain that Beck’s ‘hate speech’ could set off a “Rwanda-like civil war” and they find him “barbaric” and “terrifying”, we are who they are talking about. Each one of us who does not agree with them.
Everyone who does not bow down in servitude to the imperialist nature of obama, everyone who speaks their mind about current events.
Bette even goes so far as to say that hate speech is not free. In other words, if she disagrees with the speech-maker, the 1st Amendment should not cover that person.

It worries me that so few people are bothering to listen to one another. That they’re so quick to believe the worst in each other.
You know what? If I believed all the stereotypes about the left, the right, the in between, the dark skinned, the light skinned, the green skinned, and the purple, I’d be a big ball of hate. And we know how that works in the real world. THAT’S what causes riots. And people who perpetuate stereotypes are very much responsible for inciting that sort of behavior.
Perhaps we should call for a moment or 3 weeks of silence and see if that doesn’t give everyone a chance to chill the fuck out.

Bette Midler is no more middle aged than I am. She got her first records out in around 1967 or 68 after first becoming known for singing in the gay bars, clubs and baths(!) in New York. I am hoping those baths had at least a room where everyone wore clothes and did not commit various unspeakable acts. I do not know, having never been to New York, much less a gay bath there.
I am pleased to say that if there are gay baths here by the shores of Lake Tawakoni (and I am sure there are) they are in someones house and are not in large buildings with live singers. Well, I could be wrong there, sometimes I sing in the shower, why couldn’t a gay person.
How on earth did I get so far off track? My fingers are typing with little input from my mind, it seems. So, where was I?
Oh yeah, Bette got her big break some forty+ years ago and never forgot that it was teh gheys who pushed her career early on. I know this because I lived near a couple of lifetime bachelors who shared a house. Those were the kind of lifelong bachelors we have out in the country. We never knew what happened when the lights went out, nor did many care. We never saw them with women but, again, nobody cared. The food and drinks were great at their parties but it was often difficult to pick up girls.
Oh yeah, my point! I remember now! Bette Midler is not middle aged, she passed middle age a decade or so back. If her face is wrinkle free it’s because of the Miracles of Modern Medicine. That cute dimple in her chin is her belly button. If, in the coming years, she starts sporting a cleft chin and goatee, run!
