To Socialists, private enterprise is evil and must be stopped. Absorbed into the obama collective, taken over, regulated until all that was good about the business has been killed.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, one of the socialist vipers in Washington, has been in the spotlight recently as the main snake oil salesman.
Now she’s demonizing the private businesses in an effort to sell obamacare. It’s shameful for a politician to say the outrageous things that she’s let loose with over the past few days. A few of those:
1 “It’s almost immoral what they are doing,” Pelosi said to reporters, referring to insurance companies. “Of course they’ve been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure,” she said, adding, “They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening.”
2 “We have no illusions about what insurance companies will do to hold on to their power to exploit patients or about how much money they have to spend on it and what they have at stake,”
3 ‘The glory days are coming to an end for the health insurance industry in our country.’
“This is about inoculating against misrepresentations and educating about what is in the bill,” she said. “We all want bipartisanship…but you’re either with the insurance companies or you’re for something new.”
Remember when she claimed that we lose 500 million American jobs each month they didn’t pass the $1 trillion pork barrel spending package? Same thing. She’ll say anything, make up any ‘fact’ to get what she wants. Call it Statism, collectivism, Communism… whatever you feel comfortable with, but the more business the obama administration takes over the more freedom we lose.
When this administration demonizes private business, be it the auto makers or the insurance companies, they attack us, Americans. We are the ones who own these businesses, invest in them and work for them.
Who are the real villains here?
1. Pelosi lashes out against insurance companies
2. Pelosi’s new tack on healthcare – target big insurance
3. Nancy Pelosi outlines August plan of attack

A pain in the ass, yes insurance companies are often that. Vipers? no, that would be the nest up on Capitol Hill…

Got that right!

Hmmmm…. sounds like somebody’s Botox coverage was denied.
I wonder if she’s seen the polls that say 87% of us are insured, and 83% of us are happy with our insurance?
Those numbers make it kind of hard to convince us that insurance companies are a threat to our way of life.
Jesus, how I would love to see this bitch taken down a notch. Come on 2010! Let’s work a little “change” in the House and Senate!

Power. They don’t care about us… they only want power. We’ve GOT to sweep Congress clean in 2010!!!

If our health care system is so bad why do people from all over the world fly into SF for heart procedures to be done at Sequoia Hospital in nearby Redwood City? If you want the best in cardiology just follow the line of international travelers to Sequoia. I was referred there. With Obama care I would be ass-out. period. Buck Farack!

Dr. Barack says that they probably don’t even need surgery… they might just have allergies or something.
Maybe some aspirin will help?
August 1st, 2009 at 3:09 pm
Yeah, maybe it’s just allergies…
The companies that expanded into hospice and especially palliative care stand to make a bundle of money. Of course, obama will take most of it, but still.

“Who are the real villains here?”
Anyone who votes for this national health care nonsense/ponzi scheme.

Yep; all those talking heads in DC!

Insurance companies do have too much power over whether or not we get treatment, and there does need to be an overhaul in that particular system. However, the government does NOT need to take over in order for that to happen.
The biggest evil is not the insurance companies but the government that tries to control everything in our lives.
As for Pelosi, she’s only about #6 on the list of big evils.

[raises hand] I know who #1 is!

Aaaaack! That’s the last face in the world I want to look at first thing in the morning when I’m just waking up in front of the computer! How ’bout a warning next time?

Sorry Dave! Whose face would you rather see?
